Molly Wellmann is a self taught mixologist from Cincinnati, Ohio. She has immersed herself in the knowledge of classic cocktails and fine spirits, studying the history and proper preparation of classic cocktails from books; with a concentration on bourbon and historic cocktails from as early as the 1700ʹ′s, and up to the 1950′s.
She uses classic, handcrafted cocktails as a base for creating new and innovative drinks containing homemade simple syrups, bitters, liqueurs, and fresh juices.! ! Molly is honored to have been able to work for many popular restaurants and bars throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, and is now co-owner of Japp's Since 1879, The Famous Neons Unplugged, The Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar, and the newly opened, Myrtle's Punch House.! !
Molly was has been featured in publications nationwide, including, Food and Wine Magazine, People Magazine, USA Today, The New York Times, The Sauce Magazine, and many more. Locally, she has been featured in Cincinnati Magazine, Cincinnati Business Courier, The Cincinnati Enquirer, and many well-read blogs. ! ! Molly was born and raised in Cincinnati, but traveled to California to study. After 12 years in San Francisco, she returned to her beloved hometown to be closer to her family. Molly is the author of "Handcrafted Cocktails," published by F&W Publications.
