Jeff Winkelman can’t dance. That must be made clear. That said, Jeff sets out to do one thing each year that he has never accomplished before. Two years ago, he was running a half marathon (last in his age bracket). Last year he was biking 175 miles in two days (last overall) to raise money for the MS Society. This year he is trying to dance (hopefully not finishing last) to raise money for Saving Lives In Ministry (SLIM).
If you’ve attended this event before, you’ve seen Jeff lurking just off stage behind a camera. Jeff has served on the camera crew for 7 Dance With Your Heart events. Jeff passes his camera skills on to the next generation of filmmakers as an instructor at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Jeff is also a co-founder of the Fright Film Competition which challenges local filmmakers to make the scariest short film each year.
When he isn’t working and volunteering, he entertains the neighborhood with his silly skeletons. They are often celebrating holidays and handing out drinks on hot days for the people of the neighborhood.
Jeff has no kids, but he has two dogs. He loves taking his dogs on road trips around the country. The dogs have seen more than half of the country so far and are looking to add to that list.
Jeff has no dancing experience, but is more than willing to make a fool of himself for a good cause. Dance With Your Heart and Saving Lives in Ministry are two great causes! Please come out and support Jeff and these wonderful organizations.
